Ready or NOT, here they come!

I finally feel ready to have 21 students enter my classroom tomorrow. Last week I was at my school two nights in a row until 9pm...I have been working really hard to make my classroom exciting and inviting for my students. In my opinion, one of the most important things a teacher can do is make their classroom a safe and exciting place to be. I am just hoping that I can be a better teacher than I was last year (not that I was horrible). I just want to constantly get better every year so I can give my students everything they need to succeed. Now to the good stuff...here are some pictures of my classroom this year:

As promised, here is a picture of my "I'm Finished" product that you can find here

I give goody bags out on the first day of school. If you would like this label, you can find it here

Here is where my kids keep their Homework Folders

I found this really cool magnetic boarder at a teacher store in Myrtle Beach and HAD to have it!

Here is my job board! I'm sorry, I forget who I got these from!

Each student has their own cubby under the kiva because we don't have desks

Where did SUMMER go?! **FREEBIE**

As I sit here thinking about this summer and all the great things I have gotten to do, I am wondering where my summer has gone. Even though my "free time" is over, I am really excited to start my second year of teaching. This time around, even though it is only my second year, I feel a lot less intimidated and more confident in my abilities as a teacher. Sometimes it's hard to see veteran teachers walking the halls and think that I could be a great teacher like them. One day at a time. That's what I keep telling myself. Today, I created a really cute resource to use in the classroom and I hope that you enjoy it. My intention is to alleviate the student voices constantly saying "I'm done, now what do I do." I plan on hanging these up in my classroom in a bulletin board format. When I do, I will take a picture of that for you. In the meantime, here is that freebie. DON'T wait though...it will not always be free.

I'm Finished...Now What?
